Investments in Natural Resources

When it comes to natural resources such as metals, oil, gas and so forth, what do they all have in common? They’re non-renewable. Certainly more deposits can be discovered, but in general for every piece of gold or silver we mine up, another piece like it is not going to be generated for thousands if not millions of years. This can be seen especially with zinc, where shortages are reportedly inevitable.

Then why hasn’t the price gone up to meet this shortage expectation? And if the prices haven’t gone up, why are companies like Xstra and Glencore International, or Canadian Zinc and Paragon Minerals putting in for mergers with zinc as the primary motivation?

As for why zinc hasn’t gone up in price just yet, we can only speculate. Perhaps some people don’t believe the shortage is inevitable, or there’s so much zinc on the market right now it’s flooded it enough to keep its prices stable rather than rise.

As for why companies are merging to gain access to as much zinc as possible, that should be self-explanatory. Do you think people like Charles Reed Cagle, CEO of HEI Resources made their fortune by buying high priced shares? No, a smart company buys shares while they’re low when they have a good chance of increasing in price.

In the case of zinc this price hike is inevitable. Eventually it will become scarce enough that companies will make a huge profit selling any amount of zinc that they invest in right now. In the case of Xstra and Glencore International this is going to be a huge boom. Between them, they would control 9.1% of the global refined zinc market, a large enough amount that the merger has been delayed by the European steel association.

It’s hard to say when this grabbing at zinc will stop, simply because it already should have. But until the price of zinc begins to reflect its increasing scarcity companies will be investing as much money into it as they can.

It’s a simple case of supply and demand when it comes to zinc, but economics complicates things. The less supply and more demand of something is the more its worth, but the prices of zinc have not yet caught up to this expectation. In the end, when you have a chance to buy into something cheap that is guaranteed to become valuable, you should.

Easier and Safer Moving

Moving to a new place is very common nowadays, either moving to a new house because of a new job to a different place or moving to a better home. It is fun and exciting but can be stressful too most especially if your new place is not as large as the old one you have. Most probably there are things that you can’t tag along with you but you can’t get rid of either because you are afraid that you might need them in the future. For that matter, you would wish to have a self storage wherein you can keep your things as long as you want yet can get them anytime they are needed.

self storage

This is just one of the ups and downs of moving out. However, there are lots of ways that can help make your moving out easier and safer. Below are just a few of them.

During your packing stage, make sure to label and number all your boxes so that inventory would be easier to manage. Most of the transfer services companies require a post transfer inventories but if it is not part of their deal, do not hesitate to insist of having one. Remember that you deserve quality and accurate service. After all, you are paying them accordingly. To avoid accidents, make sure to give instructions as clear as possible. You own the things that they are carrying so most probably you know how to handle and where to place them.

Avail services only from a reputable company; those transfer services that are being referred by your friends or someone reliable in your neighborhood as much as possible. Better yet, do some research beforehand and gather some positive feedback from their previous clients. See to it that their vehicles are equipped with safety gadgets that won’t destroy your fragile things. To ensure a safe transfer, you should accompany the vehicle or vehicles being used to carry your things.

Offline and Online Advertising: Which Drives More Sales

More and more people are entering the internet world thus creating a whole new community. This has given birth to online advertising. There have been write ups and statistical analysis than online advertising already surpassed its offline counterpart when it comes to driving sales and convincing clients.

When it comes to online advertising, initiation comes from a keyword entry followed by popping out of related ads. Aside from the price and the location, some of these ads are also displaying information about the product itself. It’s more than just selling but of informing as well. One of the advantages of online ads would be target market specificity.

Offline ads on the other hand can never be taken for granted. Their influence never dies out. If it does, then it’s just like saying that print media or the newspaper-magazine industry is also losing its purpose. This is far from impossible. There are still individuals who don’t even know how to turn on the computer. Non-techies still exist and reaching them is only through offline advertising. Remember that in some counties, some people don’t even own a radio or a television. They only get in touch with the world with the daily newspaper delivery or the print ads at the back of passing buses.

However, when it comes to speed and real time interaction, online advertising can make it possible. Potential clients can readily get in touch with the sellers because of the presence of emails, chat rooms and social networking accounts. Online advertisers can also make use of the numerous data analysis programs for evaluation purposes. They can immediately adjust their approach based on the demands of their market.

To the issue of which drives more sales, offline and online advertising is incomparable because both have unique ways of influencing clients to patronize what they’re promoting.
