Be Grateful With What We Have

WARNING!!! IF YOU ARE DOWN AND DEPRESSED RIGHT NOW, DO NOT READ THIS…

A friend sent me an email. It says don’t break the chain and send it to others for them to be aware and be grateful with what they have. I have already sent it to my friends whom I have email addresses. I thought of posting it here for you my friends in blogosphere.

My great friends, let this not come to you as a surprise,

but it’s real, having them living around us and our neighborhood today.

We can change it with prayers and always lend a helping hand to those in need.

Thank God for food and water that you already have.

This is one reason why we have to thank God for the food

that we can have easily…but in the other hand…ironically,

we still waste the food that we buy.

I feel very grateful for what I have today…

We are so blessed for the wonderful works of God’s hand in our life today.

Just think of this…

“I felt very fortunate to live in this part of the world.

I promise I will never waste my food no matter how bad it can taste or how full I may be.

I promise not to waste water.

I pray that this little boy be alleviated from his suffering.

I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the suffering in the world around us

and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests.

I hope these pictures will always serve as a reminder to us about how fortunate we are

and that we must never ever take things for granted.

Think and look at this…when you complain about your food

and the food we waste daily…”

May all human beings be free from suffering!!!

Let us make a prayer in any place around the globe

and send this friendly reminder to others.

Let your friends know what God has done in his/her life

compared with these kids’ deplorable conditions.

Everyday 25,000 died of hunger around the world. Very depressing but serves as an eye opener as well. Two things made me cry this week, this email from my friend and the video of Chicken Ala Carte from Mommy Rose’s post.

  6. got this one also from an email.. grabeh its really heart breaking…

    tnx for the reminder… πŸ˜‰

  7. Nakakaawa naman talaga sila. A very eye opening post.

  8. i saw this sa email too! it’s very heartbreaking. πŸ™

and this post also served a purpose in showing how blessed my children was because they have food to eat. I showed this to them and they promised that they will eat now whatever is on the table. They are sometimes so choosy, and now that they’ve seen these pics, they were so touched and promised to eat the food I prepare for them, esp. the veggies. πŸ™‚

    thanks for this rossel! πŸ™‚

  9. It is indeed a very disturbing photos. I feel so sad about those people wherein they don’t have anything to eat and yet there are more who just wasted there food and water. Please, lets all pray to those people….

  10. Very disturbing photos.

  11. You’re so right Mommy Rossel, yan lagi sinasabi ko sa anak ko na they’re very very lucky that we have things.. di man mararangya but still meron diba..

  12. Happy weekend Mommy Rossel.. Kisses to your sweet angels!

  13. Yeah, I’ve seen a lot of this when I was stationed in Africa, so sickening. In times that you feel like you dont have anything, just think of this and you’ll say “I am the richest man”

  14. These photos touch everyone’s heart, especially if you have kids of your own. I can’t see children die. I wish i could do something to save all the kids on the planet. But unfortunately i can’t. Not alone.

  15. These images are really heart-breaking. Can’t help to wonder why is it that the world have to be so imbalanced? I wish it weren’t so…

Have a nice weekend, Rossel. πŸ˜€

  16. Hi Rossel,
These pictures must be shame of the rich part of world.
Thanks for kindly comment to my blog. I will follow you. bye.

Well, on the other hand, kapag nasa Pinas ako, walang tira, hehehe…kasi kami ko kasamang kumakain dun..lalo kapag ice cream, wag ka titingin sa ibang dako at yari ang ice cream mo……

  18. I feel so sad when I saw the pictures ate. Thanks for sharing this to us.

I know we are lucky compare to other places that they don’t enjoy the freedom of anything. Hope the whole world see this messages.

  20. Hi mommy Jac! Sorry for breaking your heart. I didn’t mean to. I just want everybody to be aware that poverty is one of the biggest problem in the world and encourage everybody to share.

I don’t know what the government can do especially here in the Philippines. As of now the politicians are focused on 2010 election rather than inflation, poverty, unemployment, etc.

Thank you for dropping by. I’ll post your link in my site.

    Have a great weekend.

  22. I am a heart broken right now seeing this picture makes me cry…I hope the government can do something to eliminate the poverty in the whole word.

Btw it’s my first time to visit here.Great post dear!!

    Have a lovely day =)

  23. Nakakalungkot naman makita na talagang maraming naghihirap. Sana instead nba war asikasuhin eh yung world hunger ang bigyan ng pansin.
