Couch Potatoes

A couch potato is someone who does nothing but sit on the couch all day. The three of us (me, hubby and baby) were couch potatoes last Holy Week or “bed” potatoes rather because we did nothing for 4 days but eat and watch dvd movies while lying on the bed inside our bedroom.

Reasons:
First…it was Holy Week and I grew up in a family belief that it is taboo to do tiring things during Holy Week. Kaya kahit nasa kabilang buhay na si Lola Choleng I’m still practicing it kase kinalakihan ko. That is why I cleaned our house the whole day last Monday.

Second…it was a 2 day holiday (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday) plus Saturday and Sunday, all in all 4 days vacation for my husband. He took advantage of his 4 days vacation. He nearly forgot that he is on a diet due to his condition. Relax and eat to the max sya.We bought fruits and brought it inside the bedroom then I made sandwiches. Eating inside our bedroom is not allowed but we broke this rule. It is one of our traditions also not to eat meat and heavy meals the whole Holy Week.

Third…it is summer here and ang tindi ng init…grabe!!! And since our bedroom is the only airconditioned room in the house so we just stayed there (I wonder how much our electric bill will be).

The kj was my asthma. I had attacks for almost a week. Maybe I enjoyed the most of the Holy Week if had not for these attacks.

  1. Hi Rossel! Your holy week was cozy, I think. Nice bonding time. I’m just so sorry about your asthma. Yeah, and init talaga ngayon no. Grabe. I wish hindi na ganito ka init…

Belated happy Easter! And I have another award for you. 😀
