Cheesy means lame but for us Filipinos, we use the word cheesy to describe someone overtaken by lovely emotions like the overly sweet couples, overly sweet actions, overly sweet moments, etc.
For the girls talk, we have to share the cheesiest thing we have done for love. So what is the overly sweet thing I have done for hubby? When we were still officemates, I used to give Rhonnel cards that I made. Most of you know I love arts and crafts. I am quite good in sketching and I love making cards. Maybe some will raise their eyebrows and will say “What?! Cards? What is so cheesy about that?” It may sound corny to you but for me it is the cheesiest. Usually I was on graveyard shift and making cards after my duty was not easy. When you are sleepy, tired and all your energies are gone, all you want to do is hit the hay and sleep soundly. But because I want to surprise Rhonnel who was in a morning shift, 6am-2pm, and I want to give him something before he gets home and I take my shift which was 3pm-11pm, I took some of my sleeping time to make cards for him.
These are some of the cards I made. We have them kept on a box together with our love notes.
Now, I do not have time anymore to make cards like these. There are times that I feel guilty and want to grab a pen to write even a note but I just can’t. Too may things are occupying my mind and my time…Facebook, PMB and blogging. Maybe one of these days I should surprise him again with my card…my labor of love.

cards are cheesy, and i have a bunch of them back in the days. LOL. but yours are extra special, because you made them yourself. i have the store-variety. LOL.

i know how you feel about not having enough time anymore to make cards like the ones you did. i used to have the time to send love notes and cards too.. by the way, that was really sweet of you!
I think anything hand made is very thoughtful and more precious than anything bought monetarily. 🙂
I used to make cards also Ross when I was still in high school and college pero sa ngayon I am just lazy to do it.. By the way, kumusta na?
