Millionaires Vine (Cissus Sicyoides)

The unknown plant is unknown no more. Thanks to Ate Vangie, hubby’s officemate, for ending my wondering. Now I know whom to ask whenever I have questions about plants. I searched for this plant’s name yesterday for hours but found no answers because I did not know what I was looking for (click HERE for the story). Now I know that this amazing plant is called Millionaire’s Vine with scientific name Cissus Sicyoides under Vitaceae family. It is also known as Princess Vine, Bali Curtain and Curtain Ivy.

When you cut the vines’ tips, pink parts will sprout so it will look like this…

Millionaire’s Vine has the ability to clean up pollution. Also, an aqueous extract from this plant was found to have hypoglycemic and anti-lipemic effects. (source) Amazing, is it not?
