Quezon City Memorial Circle Revisited

We have been to Quezon City Memorial Circle on countless times. It is one of our favorite places here in the Metro with trees, grass and greens. Since it’s a long weekend, hubby and I decided to visit it again so that RJ can play on the park’s nice playground…and so we thought. We were disheartened by what we saw…garbage are everywhere, from plastics to paper plates. The playground’s condition now is totally different from the last time we went there (you can read it HERE). Some play sets are already dilapidated and not safe for kids.

It’s not well-maintained and dirty. I am afraid that children might catch some bacteria and get ill.

Walking in the playground is like walking on a dump site. I don’t know if it is because of the number of people that went there this long weekend or if the park doesn’t have sufficient number of cleaning crews. There are trash bins everywhere but seem like people forgot how to use them. Just like these coconut husks that were left on a table after they got emptied.

If you think it’s because there may be no trash bin around, you are wrong because trash bins are just a few steps away. Sigh.

It is sad and depressing that some people doesn’t care at all. Good thing that there are  still other spots in the QCMC that are not filthy like the exercise and picnic  area where your family can spend the day.
