I don’t understand why our parish priest had to park the car, which is the grand prize for the fund raising, in the altar. I understand the parish needs fund for the church’s improvement but are there no any other ways to campaign for the said fund raising? Instead of violating the altar, why not have posters printed with the prizes and mechanics and post them not only outside the church but to other public places as well so that people can see them. Poster printing is highly powerful and effective means of promotion that is proven to give positive results. I am sure the parish can raise more than enough for the church’s improvement through colorful posters because that is the best campaign.
I got news this morning that our parish priest was transferred to another parish. I am grateful and somehow relieved. We haven’t visited the church since the said incident. Now, my family can hear mass again regularly.
