The Benefits Of Getting Gemstone Beads

Gemstone beads that are made from semi-precious minerals are replacing jewelry accessories that are made from expensive metals and stones because almost anyone can afford to buy them. Aside from being cheap alternatives to expensive jewelry, gemstone beads also come in different shapes and sizes thus allowing you to make different styles and designs of jewelry that you prefer to wear. When you plan to get gemstone beads, you should consider getting them on wholesale than getting them in several separate pieces. One of the benefits of getting wholesale gemstone beads is that you can save lots of money. Now if you worry about what kinds of accessories that you can make from buying gemstone beads in bulk, you only need to have creativity to make whatever designs that you can think of. The best thing about gemstone beads is that they complement with whatever materials that are available in your craft kit so you can use them together with beads made from different materials such as ceramic and wood. Gemstone beads also work well with metal findings and Tibetan beads and they also work well with different threading materials such as nylon and metal chain links. You can make lots of accessories with these beads to add to your collection or to give to your friends as well as colleagues.

Beautiful Bats

Would you believe that I haven’t seen bats as many as these in real life? I remember seeing a flying bat when I was a child and was so afraid. I believed then that bat is one of the wide ranges of vampire’s appearance. Maybe if I saw these bats then, I would die of fear. Lol! Of course as I get older, I learned that vampires are just mythological or folkloric beings but I also learned that there are real vampire bats whose food source is blood.

The bats in pictures above are Megabats (taken by hubby when he went to Bacolod) that primarily eat fruits or nectar so nothing to worry about. Bats may look scary because of their appearance but for me they are just like other animals that are just beautiful.

Millionaires Vine (Cissus Sicyoides)

The unknown plant is unknown no more. Thanks to Ate Vangie, hubby’s officemate, for ending my wondering. Now I know whom to ask whenever I have questions about plants. I searched for this plant’s name yesterday for hours but found no answers because I did not know what I was looking for (click HERE for the story). Now I know that this amazing plant is called Millionaire’s Vine with scientific name Cissus Sicyoides under Vitaceae family. It is also known as Princess Vine, Bali Curtain and Curtain Ivy.

When you cut the vines’ tips, pink parts will sprout so it will look like this…

Millionaire’s Vine has the ability to clean up pollution. Also, an aqueous extract from this plant was found to have hypoglycemic and anti-lipemic effects. (source) Amazing, is it not?

Manila Floating Hotel and Restaurant

If you will have your vacation in Manila, Philippines and tired of checking-in to traditional hotels, then you might want to unwind and relax at the Manila Floating Hotel and Restaurant.

The ship is known as MS Augustus, a 27,090 GRT, luxurious ocean liner built in 1950 for Italian Line. Wondering how it ended up docked at Pier 15, Port Area Manila, just near the Manila Hotel? You may click HERE for its history.

I haven’t been to Manila Floating Hotel and Restaurant yet but I was able to take a picture of it from the Manila Ocean Park. They say that the foods there are great. I am wondering how it is like to stay there for three days and two nights.

My entry for Watery Wednesday.
