Eat Bulaga’s Plastic ni Juan

RJ went home the other day with these “SOS” (sandata on sakuna), whistle and flash led, from Eat Bulaga. Eat Bulaga has this project “Plastic ni Juan” wherein the Filipinos are encouraged to collect plastic bottles in exchange of the “SOS”. These plastic bottles will be recycled to plastic chairs and will be donated to public schools. It’s the best way not only to eliminate plastics from the garbage and landfills but also to provide mono block chairs to public schools.

We all know that aside from the lack of teachers, lack of textbooks and chairs remain the perennial problems of public schools. It’s because the budget in education cannot sustain the growing numbers of students each year. And this initiative from Eat Bulaga, with our cooperation of course, is so impressive. It could help thousands of Filipino students to have sturdy and comfortable chairs in school while diminishing the plastics that are circulating and clog on drainages.

Eat Bulaga by the way, is a longest running noontime variety show in the Philippines. It’s now on it’s 33rd year and already helped many Filipinos. If you want to have the above SOS gadgets or simply help, don’t throw your plastic bottles for thousands of students need them.

Good afternoon po! Ask ko lang po kung saan at anong kumpanya po kayo nagpapa-recycle ng plastic bottles into armchairs? Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for visiting my site. I just love Eat Bulaga’s project that’s why I shared it here but I have no idea as to what company is helping them to recycle the plastic bottles into armchairs. Maybe you could ask the staff of Eat Bulaga directly through their Facebook page.

hello! ask ko lang po kung pwede din po kami makiupagugnayan sa inyong proyekto na plastic ni juan upang makatulong mas lalo na sa kapwa namin pilipinong magaaral.

Hi Cesar. Sorry to reply just now. I’m one of Eat Bulaga’s avid fans but I’m not related to Eat Bulaga in any way. Maybe you can raise your concern on their FB page here. Thank you for dropping by.

Hi Eat Bulaga,

My name is Maricar V. Poja and together with my fellow employees, Mary Grace Lumawig and Kristine Sapungan, we are employees of Accenture who are driving Eco-Champions in the said company.
Accenture all over the world have a program called Eco-Champions Initiatives which we implement to promote the following goals:

• Plan and deliver grassroots people engagement e.g. on client site or project teams, promoting eco smart work practices and creating innovative solutions to eco issues
• Connect across project teams, people engagement groups, and local offices in support of CC led eco engagement campaigns and GS led ISO 14001 Strategy.
• Share what’s working/best practice from a variety of geographies and market places and identify the next horizon of innovation.

And here in Accenture – Eastwood, Libis Quezon City, one of our initiatives is to collect plastic bottles and donate it to Eat Bulaga.
We know that this will help not only to our environment but also to the Filipino students who need comfortable chairs in school.

We started collecting plastic bottles last July 2, 2013 and now we have 3,000+ plastic bottles collected.
We would like to ask for help for the transportation of the bottles to your area.
Please let us know how to deliver these or do you have a vehicle to pick these up.

I have sent an email to info@eatbulaga.tv.
My email address is maricar.v.poja@accenture.com.

I would just like to know if I can suggest a school that eat bulaga may help, because there is a public school that i believe needs eat bulaga’s help also thru their program plastic ni juan.
